Can you please send to me the citation which states that this Gezeirah Shavah is in fact the source for this halacha.

The source is Chagigah 4a, which discusses the obligation of servants in Aliyah l'Regel/Olas Re'iyah.
However, your Magid Shiur is correct in stating that Rashi here gives another source for the exemption - Adon Echad. Rashi's source is suggested in that Gemara in Chagigah, but eventually retracted (because Lah Lah is a better source). The SEFAS EMES wonders why Rashi didn't give Lah Lah as the source for exempting a servant here. (His answer is probably related to what we wrote in the Insights to Erchin 2a.)
