DAF DISCUSSIONS - MAKOS 17

Moshe Kaplan asks:

What would be the issur if a Kohen eats kodshim before zerika on an animal that had proper schita?

Moshe Kaplan

The Kollel replies:

Shalom Rav,

Whoever eats a k'Zayis of Kodshim - even Kodshim Kalim - before the Zerikas ha'Dam is subject to Malkus, as the verse states, "Lo Suchal le'Echol bi'Sh'arecha..." (Devarim 12:17). See Rambam, Hilchos Ma'aseh ha'Korbanos 11:4.

B'Virchas Kol Tuv,

Eliezer Chrysler
