The first word six lines from the bottom is "tibato" which means "ring". What is the ring used for, I couldn't find any clear meaning. I think the Rashbam is saying it's used to hold the tablecloth, but artscroll and Pesachim 100b seem to be saying it's used to hold the table top. Could you please clarify.Thanks

We find all through the Gemara that the tables they used were not stationary. They were small, portable tables, brought in only for the meal and then taken away. The ring was used to hang up the table when not in use, and, as the Gemara explains here, the ring could be an obstacle.
