Avrahom Kevelson asks:

The Gemara brings down מאן. That isn't the same word as אין ! ״אן לי כסף לתת לך צדק

מאן עולם הבא וים שבת מנוחה

And ein ldavar sof! There'מאן ... מ a ketanah who's married off by mother or brother can do מיאון So do we darshen the yud and vav?

The alternate spellings are not the same word ergo no yud.

The Kollel replies:

Shalom R' Kevelson! Wonderful to hear from you.

I appreciate your insightful Kashyas and Biurim. Is it that there is a particular stage of the Gemara which you feel makes an assumption that appears invalid? If so, please help me clarify where that is. I want to be sure I understand exactly which part of the Sugya was the target of your comment. Is it one or several of the Gemara's Derashos? The relationship between them? Any specification you can add might help me identify more precisely with your analysis.

Many thanks for your time and patience!

Warmly,

Yishai Rasowsky
