Yes, this is permitted as well. A general rule for Muktzah is that if it is permitted to move something in a certain fashion for a lesser Tzorech, it is certainly permitted to move it in the same fashion for a higher Tzorech. For example, if it is permitted to move something for the benefit of the item (mei'Chamah l'Tzel) it is certainly permitted to do the exact same type of movement l'Tzorech Gufo.

By moving the lamp closer to the reading chair you're getting hana'ah and its not to get it out of the way?
Please advise
Thanks
Shlomo Amar
As long as someone is not considred moving Muktzah, he is allowed to have Hana'ah from Muktzah (see Rashba 29a). This is evidenced by the Halachah that one is allowed to sit on something which is Muktzah (according to everyone) as long as he will not come to move the object.
It is also important to note that in the specific case of a lamp, though the general consensus is that a lamp is worse than a regular Kli she'Milachto l'Issur which can be moved normally (i.e. without a Shinuy) l'Tzorech Gufo u'Mikomo, there are some Poskim who permit a lamp being moved as a Kli she'Milachto l'Issur or even l'Heter. [See Igros Moshe O.C. 5:23 where in his latest Teshuvah addressing this topic, Rav Moshe seems to say that it is even a Kli she'Milachto l'Heter, though he agrees that one can be stringent and treat it as a Kli she'Milachto l'Isur. However, in earlier Teshuvos he seems to be stringent that it is worse than a Kli she'Milachto l'Isur, as a person might come to change the bulb. For more on the subject and the opinion of many Poskim on this matter, see Yalkut Yosef (308:3, footnote 27).]
