DAF DISCUSSIONS - SOTAH 10

HJF asked:

My friend made an allusion to the Pundak Inn. The only place I saw it was in connection with a site that mentioned Dak and Eruvin about a place that opened into a central courtyard. If you have any information please let me know. I wonder if it is something in the Torah, symbolic or if it is an actual place

HJF, Los Angeles U.S.A.

The Kollel replies:

The world "Pundak" is a Greek or Aramaic word meaning "an inn," which is often used in the Talmud, and even appears a few times in the Mishnah (for example, at the end of Yevamos).
