DAF DISCUSSIONS - KESUVOS 5

Rafi Magid asked:

The Gemara says-

>> (Abaye): If so, we should not allow Yom Kipur to

fall on Monday, lest one slaughter a small bird on

Shabbos (in preparation for the festive meal of Erev Yom Kipur)!

(e) Answer#1: We are only concerned when one is preparing a meal for others.

(f) Answer#2: The meal for the Chupah is right after Shabbos; the meal of Erev Yom Kipur is the following day, and heis not rushed.<<

My question was: ACCORDING TO THIS DISCUSSION ABOVE - WHAT ABOUT PESACH (we should not allow pesah to fall in Monday) - the meal is for others as well (BAHAVURAH)

You seemed to answer that question in the INSIGHT 5

BUT, according to the answers given there - the paragraph in the Daf-points:

>>This same concern also explains why the first relations

may not be on Shabbos night (and we need not say the concern is wounding, as we said above).<<

IS NOT CLEAR, SINCE HE DEALING WITH SHABAT MEAL (WHICH INVOLVES BIG ANIMALS) HE WONT FORGER THAT IT IS SHABAT AND WILL NOT SLAUGHTER A SMALL BIRD

The Kollel replies:

The paragraph to which you refer is not discussing the Shabbos meal. It is discussing the meal made in honor of the Bi'ah Rishonah. It may not be prepared on Friday night (and the Bi'ah may not be on Friday night) since one might slaughter a bird in the meal.
