DAF DISCUSSIONS - MEGILAH 11

Hello

My name is Henrik Andersen

I have search for and answer on this document there have the name Megilah (Daf 11b)

I have try to ask some few people, but nowone give me and answer back.

I hope you can help me.

1) Is this document Megilah (Daf 11b) a part of the torah?

2) And if it is, when is it writing?

3) Is the meaning of Galus Bavel or Galut Bavel - Babylon exile?

4) This document is the only one that give the king Evil-Merodach 22 years reigning. All other places give Evil-Merodach 2 years reign. Is this document more true?

The Kollel replies:

1) Yes, the Talmud actually.

2) Approximately 500 CE.

3) Yes, approximately 586 BCE.

4) With regard to the reining years of Evil-Merodach, the Talmud is referring to the period after the death of Nebuchadrezzar till the reign of Belshazzar. The Talmud did not go into details of the specific kings and how long they reigned.
