Hi its steven Penn again
I was learning with a student for his bar mitzvah speech and his chose to talk about the korban Todah. We looked into the reasons for all the breads (Abarbanel and others) But we came accross a Radak that is confusing. The radak says that the word Todah is from the word Viduy confession. We give a Korban Todah to confess our sins to Hash-m. Our questions are 1)does the Radak agree that there 4 things that we bring aKorban todah? And also according to the Radak what is the reason for all the Breads along with the Korban Todah?

I don't have a Radak on the Torah handy, but I would imagine that he is not arguing with the Gemara in Berachos 54b. If anything, I would say that he means to simply associate the roots of "Hoda'ah" and "Viduy." That is, thanking Hash-m is accomplished by "admitting," i.e. announcing in public, the great kindness of Hash-m. (The breads, then, are to force him to make a large Se'udah for guests, just like the others explain.)
He might also be explaining that it seems all the Korbanos are for atonement, what place does a Korban of "thanks" have among them. The answer would be that if he was in mortal danger, he must have sinned to deserve it. Now that he was spared miraculously, he must properly atone for the sin that was the cause of all this.
Best wishes,
