Shalom,
In cases where there are no par heelam's, for example in a matter the tzedukim would admit to or where beis din uproot a whole parsha from the torah; are the individuals who sinned based on the erroneous psak, chayav a chatas or is there no korban what so ever in these cases? If he is chayav a chatas what is the source? Thank you and hatzlacha.

1. The individuals who sinned based on the erroneous Psak are Chayav to bring a Chatas.
2. The source for this is the Rambam (Hilchos Shegagos 14:1) who writes, "If the Beis Din erred and ruled to uproot an entire body ('Guf') from the bodies of the Torah (i.e. to uproot an entire section of Halachah) and the entire people did according to what the Beis Din said, the Beis Din is exempt and each individual is Chayav a Chatas."
