On amud aleph it states that Rav Pappi poskins like Rava - "avad Rav Pappi oovdah". On amud beis Rav Pappi defends Bar Chama by saying we poskin like Rav Meir because of a stam mishna, implying he poskins like Abaye!

There are two separate disputes between Abaye and Rava. The first dispute concerns whether the Ed Zomem is disqualified retroactively or only from now on. The fact that Rav Papi did like Rava involves this dispute, where Rava maintains that one is disqualified only from now on.
The second dispute between Abaye and Rava is not connected to the first dispute. The second dispute is about whether someone who eats forbidden foods because he likes their taste is thereby disqualified for all testimony. Rava maintians that he is not, because he is not suspected of monetary dishonesty.
When Rav Papi defended Bar Chama on Amud Beis, this was in connection with the second dispute between Abaya and Rava, and is not relevant to Rav Papi ruling like Rava on Amud Alef.
