Quick question on makkot 23b - in the Q&A (http://www.dafyomi.co.il/makos/reviewa/ma-ra-23.htm), the following answer is given for how Rava knew that "Hi Imo" was said by the king and not a batkol:
"3. ... "Hi Imo" as the words of Shlomoh - by ascribing Shlomoh's knowledge to a combination of the two women's statements. Because it was the combination of the first woman agreeing to cut up the child and the second woman refusing, that convinced him that the second woman really was the mother."
In verse 3:26, the first woman to speak has mercy, and the second to speak agrees to cut up the child:
Is the Q&A a typo, or is it positing that the first woman to speak in the story (verse 17) was indeed the true mother?

You are perfectly right. The answer ought to have read 'the first woman was really her mother' (and not 'the second woman ... '), as is evident both the logical point of view, and from the wording of Shlomoh ha'Melech's reply.
