Tosfos says that if there's busser within the shishim of mayim, then it's ta'am will go into the kichal and thereby assur the milk inside of it. However, why should that be so when we know that the milk inside of the Kchal does NOT have a status of milk?

Tosfos says earlier in the same Tosfos that where the Kechal was boiled in a pot with liquid, the milk comes out of the Kechal and is now considered to be Milky. Therefore the milk in the Kechal becomes Asur.
