Moses is said to have a height of 17-20 feet as it mentions the he spread the covering on the Tabernacle and it doesn't mention any auxiliary equipment like ladders. The absence of mentioning it does not seem to imply that the ONLY answer is that he must be 17-20 feet tall. Is this universally accepted, or are there other views?

There might be other views, but nevertheless this view is universally accepted (not rejected). This is the view with which we work when exploring the significance of the building of the Mishkan and Moshe's role in it.
