Is it that the nose or tail of the korban looks like an unkosher pig that makes it blemished or is it even if it looks like some other animal even kosher and not the proper animal. If the latter than why the language pig?

It seems that "like a pig" is a physical description of the blemish which ruins the animal, not connected to being Kosher or not. There is no blemish of being similar to any other animal in nose or tail.
