Please list two aspect of the uniqueness of the way that Zevulon Ben Dan was taught and which of these two is not required l'Halachah.
Yair Aaron, Bk New York
Zevulun ben Dan was taught by his grandfather. This is indeed a Halachic obligation as delineated in Yoreh Deah 245:3. However, one is not obligated to teach more than the text of the Torah in order that the child should know the Mitzvos and perform them. However, if one adds and teaches what Zevulun ben Dan's grandfather taught (all aspects of Torah), it is deemed praiseworthy (Sefer ha'Chinuch 419). If not taught, the obligation to learn Torah is on the person himself (Me'iri).
