What is/are the possible source(s) of tumah for which a kohain must wait until nightfall (and then eat his Trumah) and then bring a korban the next day?

ps... I always thought the the tumah reffered to on the first daf of Shas was tumas mais..--- dead body. But... that can't be, right.

Only Tumas Mes and Metzorah are "Mechusrei Kipuirim" that need a korban to eat Kodesh. Other Tumos such as Sheretz and Neveilah also need to wait to nightfall although they do not need a Korban.
