What is "Vayar Hashem ... " referring to?

Targum Yonasan: 'Hashem was angry because His beloved children, who were called after His Name, His sons and daughters, aroused His ire. 3

Ramban: Because in the generation of the Churban, the women were more attached to Avodah Zarah than the men. In fact, it was they who incited the men to join them. 1
