Since the Torah writes "Ish be'Chet'o Yamasu", why does it also need to write "Lo Yumsu Avos al Banim ... "?

Rashi and Targum Onkelos: "Lo Yumsu Avos al Banim" means that 'fathers cannot die via the testimony of the children' 1 "u'Vanim Lo Yumsu al Avos", that 'children cannot die via the testimony of their fathers. 2

Seforno: To include in the prohibition, a king killing the son of someone who is found guilty of treason. 3

Rashbam: The latter forbids a son to be sentenced to death for the sins of his father 4 (or vice-versa), at the hand of Beis-Din, 5 (and "Ish be'Chet'o Yumasu" it seems, is merely a clarification of the first part of the Pasuk).

Targum Yonasan: 'Fathers cannot be killed either upon the testimony of their sons or on account of their sins ... but each man is sentenced to death for his own sins via two witnesses. 6

Sifri: It implies that grown-up children only die for their own sins, but that small children can (sometimes) die for the sins of their fathers. 1
