Here they named the place 'Tav'eirah', whereas later, in Pasuk 34, they called it 'Kivros ha'Ta'avah'. Does this mean that they gave the place two names?

Ramban: Yes, it does! Following the previous episode (of the fire), still in the same place, developed a desire for meat, which resulted in the plague, on account of which they re-named the place 'Kivros ha'Ta'avah'.

Seforno (on 10:33): The current episode occurred whilst they were traveling; 1 the later one, after their next stop. 2

Since Tav'eirah is not mentioned among the place where they encamped.
