What do we learn from "Kol Po'al Hashem la'Ma'anehu"?

1.

Shabbos 50b: One should wash his face, hands and feet every day in honor of Hashem (in whose 'form' he was made).

2.

Shabbos 116b #1: If Erev Pesach is on Shabbos, the Korban Pesach is flayed entirely on Shabbos. (We do whatever is necessary to honor Hashem. Totally flaying it prevents it from rotting. Or, it is dishonorable to be half-flayed like a carcass.)

3.

Shabbos 116b #2: This forbids removing the Eimurim before flaying it [lest hairs (wool) stick to the Eimurim].

4.

Rashi, from Shocher Tov 19 #1: Hashem made everything for His praise. This is like "Enu la'Shem b'Sodah" (Tehilim 147:7).

5.

Rashi, from Shocher Tov 19 #2: All Hashem's acts testify about Him, i.e. His Gevurah.

6.

R. Yonah: Hashem created man to serve Him. He created all for His honor - "Kol ha'Nikra vi'Shmi v'Lichvodi Berasiv Yetzartiv Af Asisiv" (Yeshayah 43:7).

7.

Malbim: All man's deeds should be directed towards Hashem's honor and to sanctify His name among His creations.

2)

What do we learn from "v'Gam Rasha l'Yom Ra'ah"?

1.

Nedarim 22a: "Ra'ah" refers to Gehinom. Rashi - also [a Rasha in Gehinom] will be a praise of Hashem.

2.

R. Yonah: Also the Rasha who does not serve Hashem, and seeks to block Hashem's intent for the creation, he is destined for "Yom Ra'ah." Also the creation of him will reveal Hashem's honor - "v'Shavtem u'R'isim Bein Tzadik l'Rasha Bein Oved Elokim la'Asher Lo Avado" (Mal'achi 3:18). When Hashem judges Resha'im, He is elevated and His name is sanctified - "v'Hisgadalti v'Hiskadashti v'Nodati l'Einei Goyim Rabim v'Yad'u Ki Ani Hashem" (Yechezkel 38:23), "Avadai Yochelu v'Atem Tir'avu Hine Avadai Yishtu v'Atem Titzma'u Hine Avadai Yismachu v'Atem Tevoshu" (Yeshayah 65:13).

3.

Malbim: Also if you see a Rasha profane Hashem's honor and do against His will, and he succeeds and endures, also this is for Hashem's honor, for he is destined for an evil day. Then he will receive his punishment, and His name will be sanctified.
