What is the significance of the sanctification of the Chazeh and the Shok?

Rashi and Rashbam: It was to sanctify 1 the Chazeh ve'Shok of future Shelamim which would follow the same procedure (Tenufah and Terumah, and) which would then be given to the Kohen 2 to eat.

To designate them (Rashbam).

Implying that the remainder of the Shelamim was eaten by the owner (Rashi).
