What is the meaning of "Emor El Tachei Safel v'Yipol"?

1.

Radak: This includes all who build. It will fall even if it will be strong, like you intend. Gushing rain will come and topple it.

2.

Malbim: The Tafel by itself is ready to fall, and does not last. All the more so if there was gushing rain, it will wash the Tafel off the wall. And I will send, along with natural rain, hailstones of Hashgachah to break the wall itself.

2)

Why does it say "Hayah"?

1.

Radak: Past tense is used in place of future 1 .

1

Radak (Yirmeyah 46:23): This is common in Nevu'ah, for Nevu'ah for the future exists, as if it [already] came.

3)

What is "v'Atenah"?

1.

Rashi: This is like v'Eten (I will give). Radak ? the Hei is extra. Some texts say "v'Es Avnei Algabish 1 ."

If it says Es, Algabish should have the prefix the prefix Hei ha'Yedi'ah (to identify)! (PF)

4)

What are "Avnei Algabish"?

Rashi: They are big hailstones. I say that they are called so because they shine like Gavish 1 stones (gems ? "Ramos v'Gavish" (Iyov 28:18)).

2.

Rashi citing Brachos 54b: These are rocks that stood "Al Gav Ish" (for the sake of a man) and descended "Al Gav Ish" (for the sake of a man). They stood (were suspended) for Moshe - "veha'Ish Moshe Anav Me'od"; [he prayed, and] "veha'Barad u'Matar Lo Nitach Artzah" ? the hail that began to descend, it did not reach the ground 2 .

1

Radak: In some texts this is one word, and in some it is two.
