Why does the Torah say that the man brought them to Yosef's house, seeing as that is where they already were (see verse 43:17)?

1.

Rashi: Indeed they were, but (scared out of their wits - EC) they were pushing 'the man' out, until they reached the entrance of the house, at which point he stated "Shalom Lachem" (43:23). That is when they followed him back inside.

2.

Ohr ha'Chayim: Their entrance was interrupted; they did not want to enter before discussing the money they found. Therefore, it needed to repeat that he brought them inside.

What is the significance of the fact that Yosef gave their donkeys fodder?

1.

Oznayim la'Torah: In accordance with Torah law, which gives precedence to feeding animals before people. 1

1

Oznayim la'Torah: Berachos 40a. (This is unlike Mishbetzos Zahav (OC 167:7), who says that one feeds other people before animals. - PF)
