SUMMARY

1. The Parim and Se'irim ha'Nisrafim are carried out of the Azarah on poles. When the people who carry the poles in the front exit the Azarah, their clothing becomes Tamei. The clothing of those who carry the back of the poles remains Tahor until they exit the Azarah.

2. If a Par ha'Nisraf was carried out of the Azarah and then brought back in, and people were standing outside of the Azarah with poles for the purpose of carrying it back out, there is a doubt about whether they become Tamei immediately, or only after the Par is taken out of the Azarah.

3. The clothing of people who are involved in the burning of the Parah Adumah, Par ha'Nisraf, or Sa'ir ha'Mishtale'ach becomes Tamei. The animals are not Metamei clothing.

4. A Parah Adumah, Par ha'Nisraf, and Sa'ir ha'Mishtale'ach are Metamei food and drink, according to Rebbi Meir. The Chachamim maintain that the Sa'ir ha'Mishtale'ach is not Metamei food and drink.

5. Rebbi Yishmael says that the Neveilah of a Kosher bird does not require Hechsher. It is Metamei even if it did not come into contact with water or with any Tum'ah.

6. According to Rebbi Meir, an olive's size of Neveilah of a Kosher bird is Metamei food and drink, if it is held in the hand or is placed in the mouth, even if it did not come into contact with Tum'ah.

7. According to the Rabanan, an egg's size of Neveilah of a Kosher bird is Metamei food and drink.

8. The Neveilah of a Kosher bird does not cause food and drink to become a Rishon l'Tum'ah, even according to Rebbi Meir.

9. Two half-olive sizes of Neveilah of an animal which are connected to each other with a liquid are Metamei food and drink, but not people or utensils.

10. Parim and Se'irim ha'Nisrafim are burned outside three Machanos, but they are Metamei the clothing of the people who take them out, after they exit one Machaneh, according to the Chachamim. Rebbi Shimon disagrees.

A BIT MORE

1. Even when the animal is completely outside the Azarah, the clothing of the people in the back, who are still in the Azarah, is Tahor. A Gezeiras ha'Kasuv states that the clothing of the people who carry the Par are Tahor until they exit the Azarah.

2. However, if the people are inside the Azarah and are carrying the Par back ouside, they definitely are not Tamei until they exit the Azarah.

3. The animals are Metamei only the clothing of the people who are involved with taking them out of the Azarah or with burning them. They are not Metamei the clothing of a person who merely comes into contact with them.

4. According to the Chachamim, a Sa'ir ha'Mishtale'ach is not Metamei because a live animal can never be Metamei. However, a Parah Adumah and a Par ha'Nisraf are Metamei after the Shechitah, because anything which eventually will be Metamei a stringent Tum'ah is also Metamei food and drink.

5. Since the Neveilah of a Kosher bird is Metamei a stringent Tum'ah upon being swallowed, it is also Metamei food and drink without coming into contact with water or any Tum'ah.

6. A piece the size of an olive of Neveilah of a Kosher bird is not Metamei unless it is swallowed. Nevertheless, according to Rebbi Meir, since an olive's size of Neveilah will be Metamei a stringent Tum'ah if it is swallowed, it is Metamei even without coming into contact with Tum'ah.

7. According to the Rabanan, a piece the size of an egg is the minimum Shi'ur for Tum'as Ochlin. A piece the size of an olive of Neveilah will be Metamei a stringent Tum'ah if it is swallowed. Nevertheless, only a piece the size of an egg is Metamei food and drink.

8. Since the Neveilah of a Kosher bird does not convey Tum'ah to a person or a utensil by contact, it does not make food and drink into a Rishon l'Tum'ah, even according to Rebbi Meir.

9. Since a half-olive size of a Neveilah is not Metamei a person or utensil which comes into contact with it, two half-olive sizes do not make food and drink into a Rishon l'Tum'ah.

10. According to Rebbi Shimon, the Par is not Metamei the clothing of the people who burn it until the fire takes hold of the majority of the animal.
