SUMMARY

1. A person who brings a Korban Chatas can choose to bring either a lamb or a goat, with the exception of a Chatas brought for Avodah Zarah.
 
2. The Korban Oleh v'Yored which is brought by a woman who gave birth is brought to purify her from Tum'ah but not as atonement. Rebbi Shimon disagrees.
 
3. Rav Shmuel bar Nachmeni maintains that a person is stricken with Tzara'as as punishment for one of seven transgressions.
 
4. Rebbi Elazar ha'Kefar maintains that a Nazir is a sinner.
 
5. The blood of the ox and the goat which is brought on Yom Kipur is sprinkled in the Kodesh Kodashim and in the Heichal.
 
6. If a person eats Kodesh or enters the Mikdash in a state of Tum'ah, if he was aware that he was Tamei prior to his transgression but not afterwards, the goat that is brought on Yom Kipur in the Heichal and the day of Yom Kipur protect him.
 
The goat that is brought on Yom Kipur in the Heichal and the day of Yom Kipur protect a person who eats Kodesh or enters the Mikdash in a state of Tum'ah, if he was aware that he was Tamei prior to his transgression but not afterwards.
 
7. If a person eats Kodesh or enters the Mikdash in a state of Tum'ah, if he was aware that he was Tamei after the transgression but not before, the goat that is brought to the outer Mizbe'ach on Yom Kipur and the day of Yom Kipur atone for him.

A BIT MORE

1. A goat must be used as the Korban Chatas brought for the transgression of Avodah Zarah.
 
2. Rebbi Shimon maintains that a woman who gave birth needs atonement because when she is labor she vows that she will separate from her husband.
 
3. The Tzara'as atones for his transgression, and the Korban that the Metzorah brings purifies him from his Tum'ah.
 
4. A Nazir is considered a sinner because he afflicts himself by abstaining from wine.
 
5. The blood is sprinkled one time up and seven times down in the Kodesh Kodashim and in the Heichal.
 
6. It protects him from being punished for his transgression until he becomes aware that he sinned. After he becomes aware that he sinned, he brings a Korban Oleh v'Yored.
 
7. The goat of Yom Kipur together with the day of Yom Kipur atone for him completely, because he can never bring a Korban since he was aware of his Tum'ah prior to his transgression.
