SUMMARY
1. Rebbi agrees with Rebbi Shimon that a Shechitah which does not permit a bird to be eaten does not obligate the Shochet to cover the blood. 2. When Rebbi Chiya and his sons ascended to Eretz Yisrael from Bavel, the people of Eretz Yisrael were no longer afflicted with natural catastrophes, and their wine and flax did not get ruined. 3. If a person witnesses a deaf-mute, insane person, or Katan slaughter a bird or Chayah, he must cover the blood. If the Shechitah was done with no one else present, it is not necessary to cover the blood, according to Rebbi Meir. The Chachamim disagree. 4. If a person witnesses a deaf-mute, insane person, or a Katan slaughter an animal, it is forbidden to slaughter the son or the mother on the same day, but if no one was present it is permitted, according to Rebbi Meir. The Chachamim disagree. 5. A child is found next to dough, and there is dough in his hands. According to Rebbi Meir, the dough is Tahor. According to the Chachamim, the dough is Tamei, because children usually play in garbage. 6. If one slaughters 100 Chayos or 100 birds, he should cover the blood of all of them at the same time. 7. If one slaughters a Chayah and a bird, he should cover the blood of both at the same time, according to the Tana Kama. Rebbi Yehudah maintains that he should cover the blood of the Chayah first, and then he should cover the blood of the bird. 8. If one requests that the cup for Birkas ha'Mazon be poured, he may not drink more without first reciting a new blessing.

A BIT MORE
1. However, Rebbi disagrees with Rebbi Shimon with regard to the prohibition against slaughtering a mother and son on the same day. He maintains that if a mother which was a Tereifah was slaughtered, the son may not be slaughtered the same day. 2. In the years prior to the arrival of Rebbi Chiya and his sons, the wine and flax of the people of Eretz Yisrael were frequently ruined because their spiritual standing had deteriorated. With the arrival of these great Tzadikim, the situation changed. 3. According to Rebbi Meir, the Shechitah done by a deaf-mute, insane person, or Katan with no one else present is invalid and renders the animal a Neveilah, and it is not necessary to cover the blood. The Chachamim disagree. 4. According to the Chachamim, even if no one was present, it is forbidden to slaughter the son or mother on the same day. However, the Chachamim agree with Rebbi Meir that if b'Di'eved the son or mother is slaughtered on the same day, there is no Chiyuv Malkus. 5. According to the Chachamim, since most children play in the garbage, they come into contact with Sheratzim and become Tamei, and in turn they are Metamei the dough. Although Rebbi Meir agrees that most children play in garbage, he maintains that since a minority of children do not play in garbage, and since the dough is b'Chezkas Taharah, the combination of the Chazakah and the Mi'ut counterbalances the Rov. 6. The words "Chayah" and "Of" in the Torah refer to even a lot of Chayos or Ofos, and therefore one may cover all of them at once. 7. However, Rebbi Yehudah agrees that one blessing for both is sufficient. 8. Since he made it clear that he wants to recite Birkas ha'Mazon, he is considered to have ended his meal. Anything he drinks afterwards is not part of the meal and requires a new blessing.
