SUMMARY
Immersing a utensil does not prevent it from becoming Tamei afterwards. If a seed that is Tamei is planted it becomes Tahor. Something that is attached to the ground is not susceptible to Tum'ah. According to Rebbi Eliezer if someone annuls a future Neder of his wife it does not go into effect even momentarily. A Jewish maidservant goes free when she becomes a Na'arah. A daughter may only be sold for a maidservant until she is a Na'arah. The Chachamim hold that a person may not affirm or annul a future Neder of his wife or daughter. The Tana Kama holds that a Neder may only be annulled until the end of the day that it is made. Rebbi Yosi Bar Yehudah and Rebbi Elazar Bar Shimon hold that a Neder may be annulled for a 24 hour period. A Neder may be annulled at nighttime.

BRIEF INSIGHT
LENIENCIES AND STRINGENCIES The Mishnah says that Nedarim may be annulled for the remainder of the day and that it is sometimes lenient and sometimes stringent. The Ran asks that the terms leniency and stringency does not apply here and that it means that sometimes it is a longer time and it is sometimes a shorter time. The Meleches Shlomo explains that the Din that the day follows the night is sometimes a leniency and sometimes a stringency with regards to Nedarim. If the Neder is made on Friday night it is a leniency and if the Neder is made on Shabbos day it is a stringency.
QUICK HALACHAH
ANNULING A NEDER ON THE SAME DAY A father may not annul the Neder of his daughter and a husband may not annul the Neder of his wife except on the day that he hears about it. The Neder may only be annulled for the remainder of the day; a 24 hour period is not given for the nullification of a Neder. (Shulchan Aruch YD 234:21)
