SUMMARY
1. According to the Tana of the Beraisa, the identities of the Kosher grasshoppers are derived through a "Klal u'Frat," and therefore only grasshoppers that are completely similar to those mentioned in the Torah are Kosher.
2. According to Rebbi Yishmael, the grasshoppers that are Kosher are derived through a "Klal Prat u'Chlal," and therefore even grasshoppers that are only somewhat similar to those mentioned in the Torah are Kosher.
3. Only a grasshopper that has all four Simanim of a Kosher grasshopper and is called a "Chagav" may be eaten.
4. A fish that does not presently have fins and scales but will develop them when it matures is Kosher.
5. Every fish that has scales also has fins, but not every fish that has fins also has scales.
6. One may bend and drink water from utensils or from wells or cisterns without concern that there are water insects in the water.

A BIT MORE
1. According to the Tana of the Beraisa, a grasshopper with an elongated head is not Kosher, even if it has the four Simanim of a Kosher grasshopper: four legs, four wings, two jumping legs, and the wings cover its majority. This is because the four grasshoppers mentioned in the Torah do not have an elongated head.
2. According to Rebbi Yishmael, a grasshopper with an elongated head is Kosher even though the four grasshoppers mentioned in the Torah do not have an elongated head.
3. A cricket that has all four Simanim of a Kosher grasshopper may not be eaten because it is not called a "Chagav."
4. A fish that has fins and scales that fall off when it is taken out of the water is Kosher.
5. Therefore, if we know that a certain fish has scales, even if we are unsure about whether it has fins, it may be eaten.
6. Water insects that germinated in the water are permitted even though they lack fins and scales, if they are inside utensils or in the stagnant water found in wells or cisterns. However, if one draws water from a well, he may not consume the water insects, since they are no longer in the place where they germinated.
