SUMMARY

1. The stones used to make the Mizbe'ach and its ramp were taken from the valley of Beis Kerem.

2. There were 24 large rings embedded in the floor of the Beis ha'Mikdash, which were used to assist in the Shechitah of the Korbanos.

3. There was a space of 22 Amos between the Ulam and the Mizbe'ach.

4. There was a golden grapevine at the opening of the Heichal.

5. The doorway of the Ulam was 40 Amos tall and 20 Amos wide.

A BIT MORE

1. They dug far underneath the surface to get whole stones that had never been carved or cut in any way by metal. This is in accordance with the verse which states about these stones, "You shall not put metal on them."

2. Each Mishmar (group of Kohanim) used one ring. There is a dispute in the Mishnah about whether the rings, which were north of the Mizbe'ach, were arranged in groups with shapes of 4 X 6 or 6 X 4.

3. The Kiyor, from which the Kohanim would wash their hands and legs before performing the service in the Beis ha'Mikdash, was located south of the Mizbe'ach, between the Ulam and the Mizbe'ach.

4. People would donate golden leaves, grapes, or clusters of grapes that would be hung on this vine. Whenever gold was needed for the Heichal, some of these golden leaves would be taken to be melted and used for the Heichal.

5. The doorway of the Heichal was 20 Amos tall and 10 Amos wide.
