SUMMARY
1. There is a dispute about whether a Nidah may eat from a firstborn animal with a blemish. 2. One may not skin an animal from its feet upwards towards the head so that the skin remains in one piece on Yom Tov. 3. Beis Shamai: One may not skin a firstborn animal, even with a blemish, from its feet upwards towards the head so that the skin remains in one piece. 4. There is a dispute about how to treat a firstborn animal that is sick and needs bloodletting. 5. What is done with a barrel of Terumah that might be Tamei?

A BIT MORE
1. Beis Shamai: She may not eat the meat of such an animal, because the Torah compares a firstborn animal to the chest and thigh of a Korban that is given to the Kohen. Beis Hillel: She may eat the meat of such an animal, because the comparison to the chest and thigh of a Korban applies only to a firstborn offered as a Korban, not to a firstborn with a blemish. 2. This is because the purpose of this form of skinning is to make a vessel out of the hide. Since one may not make vessels on Yom Tov, it is considered a Melachah that is not needed for Yom Tov and therefore it is prohibited. 3. Cutting the skin in order to keep it intact might cause the meat to be cut off along with it. Just as we do not permit this form of skinning to be done to a valid Korban, lest some of the meat be taken together with the skin, we also do not permit this form of skinning when the animal has a blemish. Beis Shamai compares a firstborn animal that has a blemish to a firstborn animal without a blemish (as in #1 above). 4. Rebbi Yehudah: Bloodletting is not permitted, even if the animal will die if not treated. Chachamim: It is permitted, but one must be careful not to cause a blemish. Rebbi Shimon: It is permitted, even if it will certainly cause a blemish. 5. Rebbi Eliezer: It should be protected from definite Tum'ah. Rebbi Yehoshua: It may be left in an unprotected place where it is likely to become Tamei. Raban Gamliel: It should be left as is.
