SUMMARY
1. The Gemara discusses the entrance of Gehinom.
2. Shmuel: The length of the willow and myrtle branches must be at least three Tefachim.
3. A dry or stolen myrtle branch is invalid.
4. The Torah describes the myrtle branch with the words, "Anaf Etz Avos" -- "a branch of a tree that is thick."
5. There is a dispute about how the leaves must be positioned on the myrtle branch in order for it to be valid.

A BIT MORE
1. At the entrance of Gehinom (in Gei Ben Hinom, the Valley of Ben Hinom) there are two date trees that have smoke coming out from between them.
2. The length of the Lulav must be four Tefachim so that the Lulav is one Tefach higher than the Hadasim and Aravos.
3. If the top of it is cut off or if it has more berries than leaves, it is invalid. However, if one removes some of the berries (during the week, as it is forbidden to do so on Yom Tov), it becomes valid again.
4. The Gemara understands this to mean a branch thickly covered with leaves. Therefore, it must refer to the myrtle branch, which is covered with leaves.
5. The stringent opinion is that all three leaves on each level of the branch should emerge from the same area (basically forming an even circle, if a line would be drawn between all of them).
