SUMMARY
1. Rebbi Masneh maintains that if the Nasi of a Shevet commits a sin, he must be judged by the Beis Din ha'Gadol.
2. Ravina maintains that if an entire Shevet worships Avodah Zarah, they must be tried by a Beis Din of seventy-one judges.
3. If a Kohen Gadol is brought to Beis Din in a monetary case, only three judges are necessary.
4. Klal Yisrael is not permitted to initiate a Milchemes Reshus unless they first consult with the Sanhedri Gedolah. They do not need the Sanhedri Gedolah's permission, however, to engage in a Milchemes Mitzvah.

A BIT MORE
1. Rebbi Masneh maintains that a Nasi has the same Din as a Kohen Gadol and he can be tried only by a Beis Din of seventy-one judges.
2. If an entire Shevet worships Avodah Zarah, they are not subject to the Din of an Ir ha'Nidachas; rather, they are Chayav Sekilah just like an individual who worships Avodah Zarah. Unlike an individual, however, they must be tried by a Beis Din of seventy-one judges.
3. Although a Kohen Gadol who sins and incurs a punishment must be judged by a Beis Din of seventy-one judges, a involved in a monetary dispute in which he is involved may be adjudicated even by a Beis Din of three judges. If a Kohen Gadol's ox kills a person, there is a Safek as to whether the ox can be sentenced to death by a Beis Din of twenty-three judges, just like any other ox that kills a human being, or it can be sentenced to death only by a Beis Din of seventy-one judges just like the Kohen Gadol himself.
4. David ha'Melech would consult with Achitofel, the Sanhedrin and the Urim v'Tumim before he would initiate a war.
5. The utensils that Moshe made for the Mishkan were initiated by being anointed with the Shemen ha'Mishchah. In subsequent generations, utensils that were made for the Mishkan or the Beis ha'Mikdash were initiated by being used for the Avodah.
6. It is a Mitzvah to appoint judges and Shotrim (officers who enforce the rulings of the judges) in every city and in every Shevet. It is a Mitzvah for the judges of each Shevet to judge the members of their own Shevet; a member of one Shevet may not take a Din Torah to a Beis Din of another Shevet.
7. A Beis Din may make two cities Arei Nidachas if one is in Yehudah and one is in Galil but they may not make two cities Arei Nidachas if both are in Yehudah or if both are in Galil. A border city may never be made into an Ir ha'Nidachas.
