SUMMARY
1. The Mishnah explains that an agreement was made to purchase libations for the public Korbanos once every thirty days.
2. The seller also accepted responsibility for any rotten flour or wine.
3. The Mishnah discusses who was in charge of each department in the Beis ha'Mikdash.
4. There is a dispute about whether these department heads (see #3) lived at the same time.
5. The Gemara explains that "Sofrim" means not only "scribes" but also "those who count."

A BIT MORE
1. At this time, a price was set and the transaction would occur based on this price. The maximum amount the seller would receive would be the price that was set, and he agreed that if the price would fall, he would charge only the lower price.
2. The Mishnah says that he received his money at the end of the month, not at the beginning of the month. However, it is said in the name of Rebbi Shimon that he was paid at the beginning of the month.
3. Pesachyah, the name used by Mordechai, was in charge of the bird offerings.
4. Some say that the Tana is merely recording all department heads when he was alive, and some say that he is recording all of the special department heads throughout history.
5. This refers to the Rabanan who compiled Mishnayos and Beraisos that include counts, such as, "Five types of people should not separate Terumah," and, "There are thirty-six transgressions which cause one to be liable for Kares."
