SUMMARY
1. The measuring cups in the Beis ha'Mikdash were used for no more than one measurement. 2. Rebbi Yochanan says that Rebbi Meir and Rebbi Yehudah disagree about whether the overflow of a measuring cup is sanctified. 3. Abaye says that the disagreement between Rebbi Meir and Rebbi Yehudah is whether the measuring cups must be filled exactly to the top, not more and not less. 4. According to Rebbi Shimon, there was no measuring cup for a Hin in the Beis ha'Mikdash, because it was needed only at the time of Moshe Rabeinu, to measure the oil for the Shemen ha'Mishchah. The Rabanan disagree. 5. There was a measuring cup the size of a Revi'is in the Beis ha'Mikdash for the Revi'is of water of a Metzora, the Revi'is of oil of a Nazir, and the Revi'is of oil for each bread of the Chavisin. 6. There was a measuring cup the size of a half-Log in the Beis ha'Mikdash for the water of a Sotah, for the oil of the Lachmei Todah, and for the Neros of the Menorah. 7. If one of the Neros in the Menorah is extinguished in the middle of the night, the remaining oil and wick should be replaced. 8. There is a disagreement about whether the Neros of the Menorah could be detached from the Menorah, or whether they were part of the same block of gold as the Menorah and could not be detached.

A BIT MORE
1. Therefore, although there was a measurement of a quarter of a Log in the Beis ha'Mikdash which could have been used to measure a half of a Log and a Log, nevertheless there were separate measuring cups which held a half of a Log and a Log. Rebbi Elazar bar Tzadok disagrees. He says that measuring cups were used for more than one measurement. 2. According to Rebbi Yehudah, the overflow has sanctity, and therefore the small measuring cups may be used to pour into the big measuring cups, even though the overflow will also be poured in. Rebbi Meir disagrees. 3. According to Rebbi Yehudah, the measuring cups may not be under-filled, but they may be overfilled. Therefore, small measuring cups may be filled up and poured into bigger measuring cups, even though the contents of two small cups filled to the top add up to slightly more than one big cup filled to the top. According to Rebbi Meir, the measuring cups may not be overfilled. 4. According to the Rabanan, a Hin was never needed after the time of Moshe Rabeinu, because the Shemen ha'Mishchah was never duplicated. Since it was needed at the time of Moshe Rabeinu, it was kept for subsequent generations. 5. One of the birds of the Metzora was slaughtered over no more than a Revi'is of water, so that the blood would be discernible in the water. 6. A half-Log of oil was placed in each Ner of the Menorah. 7. Although it was already lit for some time, the same half-Log of oil is placed into the Ner. 8. Even according to the opinion that the Neros cannot be detached from the Menorah, they were flexible enough to be pushed down in order to effectively clean out the oil from the previous day's Hadlakah.
