SUMMARY
1. Only men who are wise, handsome, tall, elderly, have knowledge of the workings of witchcraft, and know seventy languages may be appointed to the Sanhedrin. 2. The emissaries of Beis Din go out to the fields on Erev Yom Tov and tie together the stalks of barley for the Minchas Omer while it is attached to the ground in order to make it easier to harvest it on Motza'i Yom Tov. 3. The Tzedukim claimed that a Yachid may bring a Korban Tamid as a Nedavah. When the Chachamim disproved this, they prohibited Hespedim from the first to the eighth of Nisan. 4. The Tzedukim claimed that Shavuos always occurs on Sunday. When the Chachamim disproved this, they prohibited fasting from the eighth of Nisan until after Yom Tov. 5. Every individual is obligated to count the fifty days of the Omer.

A BIT MORE
1. The judges of the Sanhedrin must know seventy languages so that they will understand the words of the litigants and the witnesses themselves and not through a translator. 2. The residents of the neighboring towns gather together for the harvesting of the Omer so that it will be public knowledge that the Omer is harvested on Motza'i Yom Tov, not like the Tzedukim who claim that the Omer is harvested only on Motza'i Shabbos, not on Motza'i Yom Tov. 3. The Korban Tamid may be brought only from public funds. The money of the Terumas ha'Lishkah is used to purchase the animals for the Temidim. 4. One of the elderly Tzedukim claimed that the reason why Shavuos is always on Sunday is that Moshe Rabeinu loved the Jewish people and wanted them to celebrate for two days. Rebbi Yochanan ben Zakai responded that if Moshe Rabeinu did things because he loved the Jewish people, then why did he keep them in the desert for forty years? 5. The counting of the Omer is not a Mitzvah incumbent only on the Beis Din, in contrast to the counting of the years of the Yovel, which is a Mitzvah incumbent only on the Beis Din.
