DAF DISCUSSIONS - PESACHIM 83

Michael Feder asked:

With breaking bones is there any bones that don't have morrow?

What is the meat of the korban? Is it the cartalige or just the basar itself.

Thank you

The Kollel replies:

Small bones are basically solid with no marrow inside.

The Mishnah and Gemara on 84a discuss parts of the animal, other than the actual meat, and whether they must be eaten or not, such as the sinews and cartilages. The Gemara concludes that any part of the animal which will not become hardened to the point that cooking it will not adequately serve to soften it must be eaten, but if it will become so hard that cooking it would not serve to soften it, it is not be eaten.
