The Kollel replies:
The Midrash (Bamidbar Rabah 12:3) states that the Mitzvah of Shiluach ha'Ken saves from Mazikin (damaging agents). The Midrash Tanchuma (Parshas Tetzei) derives from the words in the verse, "And the offspring (Banim) you shall take for yourself," that whoever fulfills the Mitzvah merits to have children (Banim).
