DAF DISCUSSIONS - MENACHOS 63

Peter Baker asks:

Sirs,

I have only just discovered your web site and am very excited. It is very good and IY"H I will have time to make good use and learn from it.

I have sent the site address to all the neighbours in my Yishuv in Hashmonaim, Israel

The marei mekomos for rav Kornfeld's lecture include copies from a Sefer giving pictorial & descriptions of the various terms in menachot.

Please advise me the name & author of this sefer (ISBN if possible), and can you advise me where I can buy/ borrow a copy in Eretz israel?

Yeheshekoachechem!

Peter Baker

The Kollel replies:

Peter,

The pictures were from the pamphlet "The Korban Mincha," which is part of a pictorial Avodah series written by Rabbi Menachem Moshe Oppen and published by CIS. The book is no longer available, and the publisher is unfortunately no longer in operation. The author's address is 3908 Bancroft Rd, Baltimore MD, 21215, Tel 301 358-2543. He did a wonderful job of this series, and it is extensively footnoted.

One of his primary sources was a book that *is* currently available, called Mevu'ei ha'Kodshim, by Rabbi Moshe Slowes, reprinted recently in Bnei Brak. The author's address is 16 Rechov Bet Hillel, in Bnei Brak. Another important source, also recently reprinted and retypeset, is Avodas ha'Korbanos, a step by step practical Kohen's guide to performing the Avodah in the Beis ha'Mikdash, authored by the older son in law of the Chafetz Chaim, Rav Aharon Kohen.

Thank you for your comments. We hope to put up some stills from the video of that Shiur soon. Be well and Chanukah Same'ach,

Mordecai Kornfeld
