Is there a hierarchy re making a kinyan of movables? The Artscroll notes say that many Rishonim hold that it is hagbahah, meshichah and mesirah. Tosafos disputes the order of the last 2. What is the halachah?

The Kollel replies:
There is no question that Hagbahah is usually the Kinyan of choice for movable objects (see Shulchan Aruch C.M. 197:2). The Shulchan Aruch definitely implies that Meshichah is better than Mesirah (see C.M. 198:7).
