Here they named the place 'Tav'eirah', whereas later, in Pasuk 34, they called it 'Kivros ha'Ta'avah'. Does this mean that they gave the place two names?

Ramban: Yes! Following the previous episode, still in the same location, they developed a desire for meat, which resulted in the plague, on account of which they re-named the place 'Kivros ha'Ta'avah'.

Seforno (in 10:33): No! In fact, they were two different locations. The current episode occurred whilst they were traveling; 1 the later one, after their next stop. 2

Since Tav'eirah is not listed among the places where they encamped.
