What exactly, is the Berachah that Ya'akov gave Asher?

Rashi: He blessed his land that it should yield an abundance of olives. 1

Targum Onkelos: He blessed him that his land should be fruitful and that it should produce delicacies of kings.

3.

Targum Yonasan: That his land should yield juicy fruit and that it should produce spices and cosmetic-herbs.

4.

Hadar Zekenim: He will put on his own table delicacies of kings.

Indeed, Moshe blessed him in the same way (See v'Zos ha'Berachah, Devarim 33:24), a Berachah that was fulfilled in full, as indicated by the story cited in Menachos, 85b).

What does the 'kingly delicacies' refer to?

Rashbam: It was an oil-tax that the kings of Yisrael imposed on the Bnei Asher, to provide them with fine cosmetic oil, to smoothen the skin and remove the hair. 1

Why does it say "me'Asher Shemenah Lachmo"?

Moshav Zekenim (19) #1, Hadar Zekenim (19): It refers to the previous verse. Gad will be blessed [financially even] more than Asher, in order to support his many troops.

Moshav Zekenim (19) #2: It hints to the 40,000 from Asher who would go to greet David.

רש"י: על כבישת יצרו: למה "משם" זכה להיות "רועה...ישראל"?

מהר"ל (חידושי אגדות ח"ב, עמ' עג ד"ה משם, סוטה דף לו:): כאשר כבש את יצרו זכה להיות מנהיג, כי הנבדל מהחומר הוא מנהיג ומושל בחומר.

מהר"ל (חידושי אגדות ח"ב, עמ' עג ד"ה אלא, סוטה דף לו:): יוסף דבק ביעקב כענף העיקרי היוצא מהאילן, אבל אין כחו כמו האילן עצמו, ולכן אין כחו בשלמות ויצא הזרע מבין עשר אצבעותיו (לא כיעקב שלא ראה קרי מימיו).
